Rory McIlroy has stepped down from his player director role on the PGA Tour policy board citing that it was not 'what I signed for when I went on the board' as one of the reasons for his resignation. Speaking to the media on Tuesday ahead of the DP World Tour Championship event in Dubai, McIlroy said he did not enjoy some of the tough discussions that he was a part of during his stint in the role.
